What sort of person makes a good focus group moderator? (09 Jan 13)

Here are 9 things to look for. If this doesn’t sound like you it’s probably not your thing.


You can’t learn how to set up and facilitate a focus group from text books as it’s such a practical thing to do. It can also appear deceptively easy, but it’s not.

Many people make the mistake thinking that any member of staff can run them.

This couldn’t be further from the truth as a good focus group moderator needs certain qualities.
