How to write so clearly and persuasively that other people read, understand – and do what you want
I’m sure you're familiar with George Orwell’s advice on good writing.
Never use a long word when a short one will convey the same meaning, nor a phrase when a word will suffice
Here are some examples.
- Purchase - say buy
- Expectation – hope
